Founded in 1874, the University of Nebraska Alumni Association is now more than 125 years old. Much has changed since the first five NU graduates established the "Associate Alumni of the College of Literature, Science and Art," but the association's mission remains as clear today as it was when its founders identified it as being "the advancement of the interests of the University, whose memories and benefits they wish to perpetuate." Our modern mission "to serve and enrich the University of Nebraska, its alumni and its friends by attracting and retaining them through involvement with the Association" is supported through a wide variety of programs and services. From the maintenance of alumni biographical information and the publication of magazines, newsletters, fliers and brochures which keep alumni informed, to the hosting of reunion, club, college, student, career and travel activities which foster networking and strengthen the University's academic, research and service roles, the association offers something for everyone.
