As a member of Scarlet Guard, you can participate in and help produce a variety of events and programs, including:
- Third Thursday Socials
- The Homecoming Pep Rally
- Masters Week
- All Stressed Out and Nowhere to Study
- Senior Sendoff
- Cather Circle
The mission of Scarlet Guard is to instill among current students the value of maintaining a lifelong relationship with the university, fellow students and alumni. The organization is open to all students. Various events, programs, benefits and communications are made available to SG members throughout the year. The SG board of directors is the governing body of the SG, comprised of approximately 35 students. Board members help plan SG events, promote the organization, provide member benefits and serve as the link between the student body and the alumni association.
You can choose your level of involvement with these programs. In addition, you can volunteer for alumni association events and have the opportunity to network with successful alumni. Scarlet Guard has a board of directors who provide leadership for the organization and acts as an advisory council to the Nebraska Alumni Association.
All members receive a welcome package including a tee shirt and Husker Handbook to help you maximize your Husker student experience.
Membership is $20 per year or $70 for four years. Four-year members receive an additional special gift.
