Charter Date: February 1941
The San Diego Chapter of UNAA was reorganized in the fall of 1994 after a period of dormancy to serve the more than 1,000 University of Nebraska alumni and friends residing in San Diego County.
Our annual Founders' Day Fiestas, are usually held during the winter to provide a warm escape for our guests from Nebraska. In the past, guests have included former Chancellor James Moeser; current Chancellor Harvey Perlman; the Scarlet and Cream Singers (on their 25th anniversary tour); and current and former varsity football coaches including Tom Osborne.
The Chapter's governing board strives to offer member's a range of activities consistent with the stated mission of the Nebraska Alumni Association and the San Diego Chapter. Suggestions are always welcome and we encourage members to become active participants in the board and various volunteer committees.
